Items are realistic developmental situations where the easy, well-meaning response is subtly wrong. Scoring is keyed to the evidence: coaching effectiveness and the coach-versus-tell contingency (coaching meta-analyses; GROW), Feedback Intervention Theory and behaviour-specific feedback, Self-Determination Theory and growth-mindset recognition, and reading each person's task-specific needs.
