A senior-level diagnostic of decision-making when the cost of error is high and time is short — acting on the best read while preserving options, correcting fast when wrong, holding composure under acute and sustained pressure, adapting as the situation evolves, and anticipating cascading effects. Items are realistic high-stakes and crisis situations where the instinctive move (freeze, rush, or look decisive) is wrong. Scoring is keyed to the evidence: reversible moves and option preservation under uncertainty, adaptive correction over false consistency, stress and the action bias, sustained-crisis pacing, and second-order/cascading-effects systems thinking. Behavioural-tendency framing and equally-credible, misconception-anchored options make it resistant to guessing and faking. A heavy stretch band raises the difficulty to executive crisis judgment.
