Taking an assessment
Do I need a webcam? Is this being monitored?
Only if your organisation enabled proctoring — and you will be told before you start, and asked for permission.
Most assessments need no camera at all.
Some organisations enable proctoring for assessments where identity or exam conditions matter. When that is the case:
- You will be told before you begin, and your browser will ask your permission for camera access — nothing is captured without you granting it.
- You may be asked to take a one-off photo at the start for identity confirmation.
- Copying the screen may be restricted during the assessment.
If proctoring is not enabled, none of this appears and no camera is used. If you are unsure why it is being asked for, your HR contact can explain what their policy requires.
